10th

It's a shame winter doesn't last longer. I would like to see more snow, don't you think, mom?

[Merem and Ciel are taking a walk in the park, enjoying the warm weather like a normal family. Keywords there on normal. Unfortunately, there's an interloper here in the form of Arcueid, the Princess of the True Ancestors.]

IDIOT NUN!!

[The White Princess takes a hefty swing and nails Ciel right in the stomach. Even though she should be in horrid pain, she's still smiling. And she keeps smiling after a few more punches go to her face, which causes Arcueid to pause.]

What are you doing, Princess? This kind of thing is useless, you know? Watch and see.

[Merem grabs Ciel's arm and without pause, pulls her down and bites her neck. All the way through. Her head rolls off in a small spray of arterial blood and Merem grabs it before it hits the ground. The Crown starts to spin the head around on his finger struggling to balance it like a basket ball.]

See? It has to be like that.

I didn't want to kill her, I just wanted to beat her up for being stupid. I guess she managed to run away by getting droned because she knew what was coming. Or I guess maybe she didn't. Either way that shell is useless so you can do what you want with her.

[WELL. At least one of them is impressed with Merem's mad skillz.

Arcueid and Merem will be replying separately.]

I do not see how killing her drone would end suffering, and if this was some sort of arrangement between the two of you there was no reason to enact it in public.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Being a drone is suffering. I've got personal experience in the matter.

As for the public part, why not?
yamaxanadu: (Punishment)

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
And if her drone returns?

Because it is unnecessary to force others to witness such an act of carnage.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
It will keep "vanishing" until she returns.

Carnage? Isn't that what a human would say. For my people, this is normal.

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Would that not be more cruel than letting it be?

The majority of the people here would argue that.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all. If you were ever a drone, you would know.

The majority here are humans and majority rule is minority oppression.

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
Not allowing you to decapitate a person in public is hardly oppression.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
No but assuming that if the majority thinks something, it should be fact, is a form of it. Democracy is the most efficient mode of dictatorship known to man.

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
Technically there should be a medium between the two decided on.
yamaxanadu: (Looking far)

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
And that is what I strive for.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
But humans are imperfect in nature. How do you prove to correct this?
yamaxanadu: (mysterious)

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Though imperfect they can strive to be the best they can, that is all that is needed in the end.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
Imperfection will never reach perfection. Attempting to imply as such is a fantasy beyond even what my link to the Land of Fantasy can conjure up.

[Not to mention Gensokyo translates to Land of Fantasy but Merem doesn't know this. NASUUUUUUUUUUUUUU]

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 06:23 am (UTC)(link)
Striving for perfection and not reaching it is acceptable, though I would like perfection I do not require it, attempting to simply do better is perfectly alright with me.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Still a person. Either way, I'm sure someone has been itching to tell you but in terms of your job, our world works different than whatever job you do. Leave it to a half-insane person to actually provide proof.
yamaxanadu: (Default)

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
And I wonder how much you see of the behind the scenes work.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
You explained your job at another time, yes? Judging souls?
yamaxanadu: (Default)

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I judge the souls of the dead and process them for the next life. Without the system of the Yama the cycle of life and death would stop.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
Do you think that system is absolute? As in no world can exist without it?
yamaxanadu: (Default)

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
There is always something.

[identity profile] wise-king.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
With an unlimited number of universes, quantum mechanics would say you're wrong.
yamaxanadu: (Default)

[personal profile] yamaxanadu 2011-06-15 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
I would think with the unlimited number of universes and various ways things can be I would be right. There is always something, I didn't say what that something was.
