Not at all. I'm actually happy to not have to cooperate with anyone for any given job precisely because you may be on the list of undesired volunteers. I suppose that in exchange, the director can't stop it if you decide to wander off and stalk someone on your own, but as far as I'm concerned, that hasn't happened to me yet.
