That isn't the entirety of it. Getting involved in human affairs is....troublesome. If we're seen as an active enemy, we'll be forced to continuously fight and while I could hardly care about a couple hundred dead, they will continue coming. It would be best to establish a deal now that keeps us separate from their affairs.
